Terms of Service

1. Overview

AI LightLab ("we", "us", "our") provides an Adobe Lightroom Classic plugin and associated cloud-based AI photo enhancement service (the "Service"). By purchasing a license and/or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Service Description

AI LightLab is a plugin that sends your selected photos to a cloud-based AI image generation service for enhancement. The AI processing is performed by Google Gemini, a third-party AI model developed and operated by Google. AI LightLab does not use a proprietary AI model. We act as an intermediary, providing the interface, preset system, and credit management layer between you and Google's AI services.

3. Licenses

A license key is required to use AI LightLab. Licenses are sold as one-time purchases through our authorized reseller, Lemon Squeezy. Each license is bound to a single machine and is non-transferable. You may contact support to request a machine transfer if you change computers.

• Basic License — Full access to the plugin, all presets, 2K and 4K output, batch processing, and 20 free credits.
• Pro License — Everything in Basic, plus priority processing, priority support, and future preset updates.

4. Credits System

The Service operates on a credit-based system:

• 1 credit = one 2K AI enhancement
• 2 credits = one 4K AI enhancement
• Credits are deducted from your account balance upon successful processing
• Credits never expire
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts
• 20 free credits are included with each license purchase as a welcome gift

Additional credits can be purchased through credit packs. Credit packs are digital goods and are non-refundable once purchased. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AI LightLab only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the plugin or its cloud infrastructure
• Share, resell, or redistribute your license key
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to abuse the Service
• Submit content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
• Attempt to bypass credit checks or manipulate your credit balance

6. Third-Party Services

AI LightLab relies on the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini — AI image processing. Your photos are transmitted to Google's servers for enhancement. Google's terms and privacy policies apply to that processing.
• Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing and license management. Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.
• Cloudflare — Infrastructure, API routing, and security services.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your original photos. Enhanced images generated by AI LightLab are derivative works of your originals. We claim no ownership over your images, original or enhanced.

The AI LightLab plugin, branding, presets, and associated software are the intellectual property of AI LightLab and are protected by copyright.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability, but the Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Google, Cloudflare). We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance or unexpected outages may temporarily affect availability. Credits will not be deducted for failed processing attempts.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI LightLab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or AI output quality.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination for cause, unused credits are forfeited. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will provide reasonable notice and offer refunds for unused credit balances.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through the plugin. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Italy.
